Hello. My name is Josh, and I am a web developer. In my spare time, I like to play games, make food, and tinker with Lego. But I also happen to like web dev just enough that I will do it in my spare time as well — hence, this site. (If you’d like to know more about me, check out my About page.)

Today, I celebrate my site launch. I built this site by myself; sure, I’m using a WordPress core, and I’m standing on the shoulders of many developers who came before me. But it has been a long time since I’ve built a site completely on my own, for me.

The main purpose of this site is to serve as a personal blog. I plan to share my thoughts on various topics – my hobbies, primarily. But its secondary function is to serve as a portfolio. My goal is to continually update the site with new features and interesting techniques. I already have a list of things I want to try in the near future, and this site will be a hub where those experiments will be visible. (There is a whole checklist that didn’t make it in time for launch, too.) In addition, I want to write about my web dev experiences, and why I made certain decisions in the production of this website. (I’ve got some behind-the-scenes screenshots from when this site was under development that I want to post here soon.)

That’s all I have to say for now; I plan to have much more interesting content on here very soon. (But not too soon; I do need to get back to writing a D&D campaign, and there are a few games I’d like to finish. I need to relax a little bit.) Don’t hesitate to let me know if you find any issues on the site, or have any suggestions. All feedback is welcome. Thanks!
