This certainly isn’t what I expected to be posting so soon on my blog. But, it’s been a rough couple of weeks (and year, let’s be honest). To cope, I’ve recently been trying to play a chill game or two in my evenings, rather than some of my usual favorites. Don’t get me wrong, games in general can be relaxing, but sometimes I need something with much less stress or challenge.

Album: Mega Drive
I initially wanted to stick to just Christmas songs for this month, but this cover of Ice Cap Zone (from Sonic the Hedgehog 3) is just too good to ignore.
Artist: August Burns Red
Album: August Burns Red Presents: Sleddin’ Hill, A Holiday Album
Every Saturday in December, I will be posting a Christmas/holiday song. Or a winter song. This week is August Burns Red’s rendition of Little Drummer Boy. It’s easily my favorite version of this song.
Happy holidays.
This post on improving your digital wellbeing is more desktop-focused than I originally intended. Therefore, I plan to work on a second post with some mobile-focused content.
For my northern hemisphere friends, winter is here. Still, it’s a good idea to do some “spring cleaning” for the sake of your digital wellbeing.
If you’re like me, it is far too easy to let digital clutter pile up.
Continue ReadingNote: like other DLC reviews, I will only be covering the Steel Dawn questline in this review – not the rest of the base game changes. This is going to be a shorter review than what I’ve done in the past, as it is a smaller DLC. In addition, this post does contain spoilers.

Album: Chipped of the Necrodancer
Chipzel is easily one of my favorite chiptune artists. Her soundtracks are upbeat, driving, and a treat to listen to, and this soundtrack is no exception. The original soundtrack for Crypt of the NecroDancer* was already fantastic; Chipzel took it and made it her own. This track,

I will not discuss the base game changes that came with this patch. Also note that there are minor visual spoilers present; I only took screenshots from the early portion of the expansion.

Album: Back Through Time
Sometimes, when somebody asks what kind of music I listen to, I answer with “pirate metal”.
And of course, the inevitable question that follows is, “What is pirate metal?“
This is the song I direct them to. Enjoy.
Hi everyone! First off, before the changelog, a big thank you to everyone who has visited my site since its launch. I know I’m catering to a small audience for now, but it still means a lot that anybody is giving it a peek. Thank you.
As a treat, here’s an old WIP video of the site.

Album: Darkfield
This is an excellent instrumental track. It’s long, sure. But it is a pleasant slow build that leads into a more intense and satisfying middle and ending.
(Just as a side question: should I compile the song of the week choices into a singular Spotify playlist? It would eventually be a variety of tracks and genres blended together.)
